New Update: Version 1.3.2

Pi and The Lost Function: Episode 1, Version 1.3.2. is now available!

This update contains helpful new features, gameplay improvements, new characters and story elements, and new math content, making Version 1.3.2. one of our biggest releases to date.

Included in this release:

 

New Math Content – Level 9: Probability and Statistics

This expansive new unit contains 10 challenges and more than 80 Mysterious Math Problems, as well as 17 lessons and 74 interactive practice problems, located within the game’s virtual tablet.

Topics within Probability and Statistics include:

  • Introduction to Statistics
  • Measures of Center and Range
  • Measures of Variability
  • Bivariate Data and Scatterplots
  • Probability

 

CCSS Reference Now Available in Tablet

Common Core State Standards reference is now viewable within the in-game virtual tablet.

 

New Opening Scene and Tutorial

A dramatic new opening scene sets the stage for an intriguing story complete with mystery, suspense, adventure, and of course, math! Integrated within this new opening sequence is a new and improved movement and tablet tutorial to get new players up-and-running with less interruption to gameplay.

 

New Characters

You’ll meet two new characters in The Lost Function, Version 1.3.1:

Ben – Introduced during the new opening scene, Pi’s mischievous best friend, Ben, becomes an important puzzle piece in the greater mystery that Pi must solve in his heroic quest to save Greenville.

Dr. Gonzalez – We meet Dr. Gonzalez during Level 9 when Greenville residents begin to suffer strange ailments as a result of “Math Anxiety.” Pi must help her find a cure.

 

Other Improvements and New Features

  • New camera angles improve player’s view during character interactions
  • Location of Math Graffiti now marked on minimap
  • New clothing items awarded upon completion of levels
  • Game Update Notifications added
  • Automatic warning and adjustments for graphics quality
